He is a trusted technical advisor to Waka Kotahi the New Zealand Transport Agency, as well as state and local transport authorities in New Zealand and Australia on road safety matters. Paul has developed analytical road safety tools, industry guidance and provided technical leadership informing road safety strategies and programmes that will have a significant influence on the shape of road safety in New Zealand for many years to come.
